Aurora V vessel at Wallaroo

Spencer Gulf Searoad has announced that its Spencer Gulf Ferry service will be temporarily out of service from Sunday 27th June through to and including Thursday 29th July 2021 for repairs and maintenance. Services will resume from Wallaroo and Lucky Bay on Friday 30th July on our regular winter timetable.

Aurora V will make her way to Port Adelaide for slipping Sunday 27th of June, then return to Wallaroo for the completion of her maintenance.

‘We would like to thank our customers for their patience during the temporary suspension to our service. The outcome of the repairs and maintenance will ensure that we continue to provide an efficient ongoing service, without further interruptions in the future.’ Sue Cassidy, General Manager said. ‘Reservations at both Wallaroo and Lucky Bay will be open during this time to assist with any questions or reservations. Online bookings can still be made for future bookings also.’

Spencer Gulf Searoad has revolutionised travel between the York and Eyre Peninsula, providing a relaxing cruise across the gulf, which takes just over 2 hours, compared to the alternative 400km drive one way. On board features include an air-conditioned accommodation area, television screens, free WIFI and an outdoor observation deck.
